Transcript for "Feature Focus: Unite your data and put it to work with AI":
Hi, everybody, and welcome to our May feature focus webinar. We'll be getting started in just a minute. We're just gonna give everyone a chance to filter into the meeting today. So in today's, webinar, we're gonna be just covering a quick overview of some of the awesome stuff that's coming to Quickbase in May or has already come to Quickbase, a minute that you can start taking advantage of. As always, you can find our chat right to the right of where you're seeing me talking. That is where you can get let us know if you have any questions or anything you wanna chat about during this course of the webinar. We'll have people in there to help you answer questions while I'm presenting. If you have stuff that you want us to hit in our q and a section at the end where you'd really love to get, like, a specific answer, You can actually put that in q and a. It appears just above the chat to the right. That'll make sure any of your important questions get into us so you can get a real answer. You have some friends good joining us from product team, so we can make sure either we'll answer your question today or capture it for the future and let you know. You'll that's also where you can find some documents we have, which are important links that just relate to, the stuff that we're presenting today. These are the kinds of things that you might want, in your hands so you see that we're using some of these features. So we're just gonna give everyone another minute or two to filter in. Yeah. Great to see everybody shouting out. We've got Mexico. We've got South South Carolina. We've got North Carolina, Oklahoma. I'm joining today from, Salem, Massachusetts. I'm Evan, one of the product marketing managers here at Quickbase. I'll be the host today, and I will be joined by, Georgi R. Georgiev from our product team who will be who will be coming on stage in just a little bit. I'll make sure to do an intro once you get a little bit closer. And just as a reminder for anybody, if you're having any trouble with the video or audio during the presentation, there is a light mode also available that you can change to in your preferences. I've had some folks who have a little trouble hearing me or where the, videos, lags a little bit, find that you should be using the light mode helps with that. So if you're having any of those issues as we go through today, changing over to that light mode might just help. Otherwise, like I said, chat's there for anybody who might need to reach out. There'll be some of us keeping an eye on it. And q and a is where you can put all of your questions as we go through all these features. Alright. It looks like we've got a good number of people here, so we're gonna get kicked off and get started. Don't worry if there's anything you miss or have to step away. This is being recorded, so it'll be available on demand afterwards as well for everybody. Alright. So today's agenda, what we're gonna dig into today. The big thing we're gonna start with is we're doing an AI spotlight, talking about a bunch of the AI features that have basically started be rolling out in Quickbase since we went live with them at Empower twenty five in at the March. In particular, there's gonna be a special guest, Georgi, from our product team who will be taking us into spreadsheet imports. If you watched the keynote in Empower, you probably saw a little bit about it. He's gonna give us a little bit more information. And if you miss it, even better, this will be a great introduction to what is spreadsheet import with AI. Alright. So we'll get in we'll and then we're gonna go into new forms on Quickbase mobile. Pass a little few pipelines improvements, some updates to our UI, some looks at new formula and function options that are available, and a quick hit of a bunch of little things that are really great for admins, both app and account admins. They'll probably help your everyday quick base using be a little bit easier. Alright. So we're gonna jump right in. So we're gonna start with our AI pipeline. Alright. Wow. Wow. AI spotlight. First of all, if you haven't tried it yet, we have, expanded the options available in our, AI helper. That's that little sparkle in the upper right hand corner. If you click on that when you're in Quickbase, if you click on that, you now have an option to ask Quickbase AI for help. This is a great thing if you're looking for the right amount of information, but you can't find the just right documentation you were looking for, or maybe you can't find the doc the document that helps for your question, or if you're just kind of feeling a frustration and you need you want a different opinion for your question, you can open up ask Quickbase AI for help right under that and actually, ask the question. You'll also be able to find it now when you go to look at, the help icon that appears in the upper right hand corner. There's a little window that you can see that will, ask Quickbase Help or have to ask Quickbase Ask for help. That will let you just basically type in your question, and it will search through a whole bunch of the documentation we have and provide you a suggested answer. It's a great way to, like, quickly get a second set of eyes helping you search if you can't find the thing that you're looking for most. And so it's a great tool for quick and easy answers. Next, we're gonna jump into, similarly, AI Help getting with getting started creating pipelines. So we've similarly enhanced the Smart Builder and the AI Help to allow you to get help creating your pipelines. What you do is you can jump right in, basically describe the workflow that you're looking for in as simple or as easy terms as makes sense for you. And then from there, it will give you some suggestions include it will give you some help, including telling you what steps and things you need based on your workflow. And if you hit yes, build it, it will build that pipeline for you. What it will do is it'll put all the steps in place, and then you kinda take it on from there and figure out what are the right values to pull over, what are the right things to pull over to make sure that your pipeline is pulling all the right information, working for you. Just like starting from scratch, everything is editable by you. So you can kinda make sure that all the steps make sense, remove steps, add steps, change fields. And even better, you can also now get help when it comes to filling in your pipelines from AF, right, your existing pipelines or these new pipelines from AI. So what you can actually do when you are in a step, you'll see a new option called suggestions with a little, like, magic wand icon. You can click that, and it will give you suggestions of what it thinks the right fields or information you're trying to pull over for that particular, pipeline could be. The better you describe your pipeline and your steps, the more it'll be able to say, okay. I think what you need is this next step or this next piece of information. So it's a great opportunity for those of you who maybe felt a little nervous creating pipelines for the first time or, alternatively, have had a list of pipelines I like integrations and automations ideas you've had that have just been really hard to prioritize, this could be a great way to jump into them fast. And I've also been suggesting for a lot of the folks who think I have some automation still I need to move over. This is a great way for testing if the AI can help you fast track that. If you can describe your previous automation to it, can it help you quickly create the pipeline's version, saving you some of that conversion work that has just kind of you know, it's hard to justify spending time on when you're busy with a lot of new projects. Alright. So those are two great new options. Now I'd like to invite Georgi to join me up on the stage. Like I mentioned before, he is a member of our product team who is going to go into a little bit demo of our, spreadsheet imports. I'm gonna hand off the mic to him. Hey. Am I audible? Alright. Hi, everybody. My name is Georgi. I'm so honored to be here today, and I'm going to talk to you about the AI spreadsheet import. So why why the AI spreadsheet import? Generally, there are 2,000,000,000 professionals using spreadsheets. In New Zealand, they turn out they use it to run their health care system. But what's the problem with spreadsheets? We all love them. We all use them for different purposes, but it takes one person at one unfortunate occasion to jeopardize your whole set of critical business operations if you rely on spread on spreadsheets for that. And we all know that since you already know, well, what about Quickbase and the balance of the relational databases, your feedback is really impartial to everything that we built. And we decided that there should be a quicker way to move your data inside the platform. And that's why we decided, with the help of AI, to craft this feature, which would allow to turn your complex spreadsheets into fully functional apps just in a matter of a couple of minutes. You'll be able to get in your data real quickly quickly in less time, hear your dashboards, reports, relationships set up between the tables, formulas maintained, and pretty much you can hit the ground running in the blink of an eye. And my favorite best part is that there is no technical requirements to that. It's just a matter of several clicks. And just because it's so easy, I really want to do it today in front of you so that you can see and try it out yourself later on. Alright. Now I need to close my slides and do a bit of screen sharing. Evan, I'm not able to share my screen for some reason. Oh, now I can. Okay. So I first want to show you a complex spreadsheet that I want to transfer inside the platform. Evan, is this visible? You're good now. We can see it. Cool. Cool. As you can see, I have to scroll back to the top, like, it's a big one, many rows. We have two tables in this in this tab, and this one has three. It's a lot of data. You see different types of of rows, you know, information, like, it's super realistic. And this is the tiniest one, just a set of manager dealing with the set of operations. So I'll be transferring this inside the platform right now. I'll stop sharing so because I need to move to to the product and oop. Is it visible? Okay. Yeah. We can see that. Okay. Okay. As you can see, the feature is accessible via the sparkle in the AI console. So this is where you're looking for it, and you'll need this style, import the spreadsheet. The flow is very intuitive, and it's pretty much self serving. So I need to now upload my file with this, button. And here it is, project tracker. K. But the system is telling me everything's fine, and now I have to wait. Generally, in most cases, this should be done in a matter of between sixty and ninety seconds. And, a small sneak peek since, we're making introductions to this all the time. There'll be a couple of more goodies here in this screen coming next week, but I'll tell you more about that later. So as this is loading, I'm I'm making, tell you more about how the system functions in the back end. So the element thinks into rectangles. And whenever I feed it with a spreadsheet, it tries to determine how many rectangles are there. It extracts the schema, moves it inside Figbase, and then transfers the data inside the platform. While the data is, transferred, their ORM is very reliable determining field types, cleaning up the data, establishing relationships. And that's actually very interesting, feature of it because it looks for repeatable values inside the columns and determines primary key based on those. And based on the, primary keys, we're able to determine dependent fields. So that's how we also set up relationships. So this is also something that's coming out of the box. One of the things that I also really like about this feature is that many of the commonly used formulas are automatically supported. This means that if you use some if mod functions inside the spreadsheet, once you transfer this through this feature inside Quickbase, this will be automatically maintained. So you don't need we need to stress about it anymore. And whenever the app is ready, you'll see that I'll have my dashboard, and I'll also, have all the goodies that are currently coming with the with the apps generated by Smart Builder. It's finalizing. Let's see how it looks like, but I'm very hopeful that, everything will be successful. Generally, we we we should be seeing several tables. We should be seeing relationship and relationships, and data should look identical to the way that it looked inside the spreadsheet. This one is, is controlling. Yeah. Here it is. Okay. Now I I just need to click this button and go to my new app. That is in less time than it would have taken me to cook popcorn to eat while watching, you. So that's pretty impressive. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. As I promised, we have our several tables onto the left. We have our we're just loading, but I'm really hopeful to for the dashboard as well. Yeah. Nailed it. Nice. And, let's check how our relationships look like. K. Let's examine the structure. It's loading. Oops. Let's okay. One manager can have many projects, and one project can have many tasks. And one project can have many allocations. One project can have many milestones, and milestones come with count, tricks, risks. Those relationships are determined based on how my data was set up. But to me, since I build the spreadsheet, to me, they seem logical, and I'm very happy with the end result. I don't need to set them up manually. Let's have a look at the tables now. Let's see if everything looks like expected and if I need to take care of something manually. My guess is the answer is no, but let's check it together. Oh, it looks exactly like the spreadsheet. Nice. This this table. Yeah. Big and long. Exactly like the spreadsheet. Let's check the manager's table. It was short one. Yeah. Exactly. Nice. I really like it, and now I can hit the ground running to do whatever I wish with the data, not need to stress about it anymore, about how I'm transferring it inside it. And all the risks about running it in the spreadsheet are pretty much go. And I'm right, Yobi, and, Yobi, and remember and believing that where where it can, it also tries to make sure it defines the right field to the right type of value. Correct? So, like, a phone number will be the phone number. Email would be the email. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. It's just very reliable determining field types. And one of the reasons it's so quick is that field types determination is is very quick. That's awesome. Because that that's really more than just uploading your spreadsheet. That's already doing a lot of the guesswork of these are phone numbers. You care about them being from a phone number perspective. These are emails. You care about that. Great question that Rob just had. That would include something like a a multiple choice field. Correct? It's gonna guess sometimes where, like, your status might be a multiple choice or things like that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it it's also it's also very good at determining, bullions, like a checkbox fields. Like, sometimes, you know, I can write, like, something in the boxes, then then the LOM determines, oh, this is a this should be a checkbox here. And, like, it's it's very specific to the data that you feed inside of it. So now we we will not be able to go to any possible outcome, but it's generally very reliable with the field types that we currently have in inside Quickbase. That's awesome. Sorry. I interrupted you. I'll let you. No. No. No. No. No. That that's that's what's super important. And, to build on top of what we just said, like, as as a next step, I'm happy to say that right now, we are in a private beta. But next week, we're moving to an open beta. So what's what's likely going to happen and what our platform next week is is that, you once we release it, there will be communications about it, but you'll be able to open the AI console and then, try to feature yourself and to be available in in in everybody's realms. One important clarification, you'll be able to utilize the feature as long as you have build up permissions inside the realm. Other than that, you shouldn't need any specific, onboarding or enablement once OpenBot is released. Yes. And, for those of you who are curious about timing, we will also send out an email to remind folks once it goes, like sorry. You'll start to see them in the product once it goes away. And there'll be, like, a a a panda pop up, I meant to say. That will let you know. Yeah. Yeah. Mhmm. Not email. I have emails. That's what that's what I needed to start. But, definitely I thank you so much for for coming on joining us and talking. Thanks so much. Awesome. So, if those of you who joined us today have any further questions that we we went over pretty fast, but there's a lot of we're open to taking any questions you have. Just toss them in the q and a, and we'll get back to them at the end of the q and a section. It's definitely gonna be really exciting to see this go live, and a lot of people have been really stoked seeing it. Like, I know when we had Empower live not that not too long ago, people were really excited, to be able to to to move away from the longer process of thinking, like, I need to convert this spreadsheet. It's my best intention to do it as soon as possible, but it's really hard to make time for it. So this is supposed to help you get back a lot of that time. Alright. So moving on, that was a lot of the things you can expect to see out of AI in, QuickBase. We wanted to just also do this as an opportunity to talk a little bit about the ways we're making fast field a little bit more, powerful and impactful with AI help. So you can make your field get the most out of your field work. For those of you who haven't who are not familiar with Fastfield, Fastfield is a, joint quick base and became part of our, umbrella of all the things good quickness goodness. It is really designed to help folks who are out in the field, really working a lot on their phones and using a lot of digital devices to capture data, do that much more easily. It is an ideal tool for a field team out on the work out doing work to be able to snap a picture, update a work order, and be able to go back to their work. And because of that, one of the things we're really excited to let people know exists now is, our FactFold AI form converter. This is essentially to use your use your phone, take a picture of a form that you have today. It could be a actual paper form you're using every day in your office, or it could be you writing out an idea of a form you know you want. Like, if it's easier for you to just take out a piece of paper and a pen and write out what you need, and it will use that same, it'll do some of the same logic to say, what is in this form? What do I need to have included? And it will start your, fast fill form for you. Quickly allowing you to convert, same thing. Helping you get rid of some of those workflows that, like, you just haven't had found the time to get rid of yet or update yet, but now you can digitize and really be like, this is how I accelerate getting to where I want to and getting that out to the people in the field. No more waiting, you know, potentially days for someone to return the physical forms and then get them have them get typed into your system. And similarly, we wanted to go beyond just that, beyond just making the creation of these forms easier into into actually helping you with an AI powered workflow engine. This is allows you to then say, I want more than just the easy entry of a form. I want that form to start doing stuff. Once it's submitted with the images, the documents, whatever it has, can we also use AI to help us power submission summaries, letting you know what was in the document without having to read the whole form? How can I route those forms, provide alerts? It's really just putting more power behind what quick what what Faxlov can do for you and with your team to really make it so that, you're not waiting for someone to physically or manually remember to update. There's a ton more documentation out there for those who are interested. Just wanted to give a quick highlight that, like, these are some of the things that AI is doing kind of across both of our platforms working in partnership. And then we're gonna transition off from our AI section into some more stuff that's a little bit more about Quickbase, that you use every day. And first, we're gonna start off with the connect and collect. Similarly to Fast Field, this is the first thing we're gonna cover is really relevant to our mobile users. So if you're using the Quickbase mobile app today so that you can review your projects, look at your records, submit some simple changes, you in the past, there's been a little bit of a disconnect between our new forms, which are really awesome, and a really great visual upgrade in our mobile. That has been changed. As of the twenty first, your end user experience is the, you can you can now have the option available for you for to be using new forms on Quickbase mobile. If you never set a default expect a default, form on, mobile before, if you've always had it say use the desktop version, and you said to have the mobile use the full site forms, automatically, you will get the new form. So, essentially, if you never went and took any extra effort to specify a specific form to be used for mobile, they'll now just be updated for you. Your users will be seeing the newer FreshSure experience. The only thing you'll need to pay attention to is if, you ever assigned a specific legacy form because you thought it looked better, it was a better representation of the data you were looking for, those will not automatically update. They will continue to use the legacy form. What you'd wanna do is ask yourself if it's time to move to a, a new form for your mobile usage or even to create a new form if perhaps, you wanna make sure you have one that still matches the same experience and you have the right parity between the two of them. So really exciting. It's a nice refresh. They look really they it's really just gonna, level up the way your end users think about viewing this data on their phone, ideally making it easier, more impactful, better able to navigate. The just biggest thing is I know some people had assigned a, a legacy form because they wanted to control what they looked like and what the experience was like. Now if you wanna take advantage of those new forms, it's just time to go in and make a quick change where you can with your free roles. Alright. And moving on. Similarly, for collect and connect, we're gonna talk a little bit more about pipelines. So we've done a bunch of stuff in the back end to just simplify the way pipelines, are are used, the simple things you do every day that you interact with regularly in the UI. This is going along with a lot of the work we've been doing in general with pipelines around having AI be more able to help you. This is really about just making the experience of building and managing your pipelines smoother, simpler, less frustration. And so we've based on your feedback, we've now added the ability for folks to collapse all the steps of a pipeline and the designer, refresh the schema for just a certain just a single step that you're in, expand more than one section in the step, a view long pipeline's names as a tool tip in the my pipeline's page. If you gave your pipeline a big long descriptive name and it's always been cut off for you and with the past, you can now actually see more of it. These are all things that are meant to just simplify the way you are thinking about your, your pipelines. So those are just really simple and easy things that you can experience the next time you use pipeline. So the next time you if you haven't gone in and edited them recently, these are all things that'll just be there for you as new options. And then we've also made a couple of improvements that are just supposed to make it easier for you to be able to understand your pipeline to kinda follow along with where your data is coming from. We've added table information to your field. So whenever you are including fields as parts of your pipeline steps as targets, it'll also tell you right next to the name of the field what table it's in. This is great for if you have a status field in every single one of your ads and you're worried that or any between one of your tables and you're like, oh, no. Did I pick the wrong table perhaps? Do I have to go back and double check that? This will now just give you confirmation that it is the status table from your projects, status field from the projects table, not the status field from your, like, employee table, table, for example. You're you're targeting the right fields in the right places. We've also added a go to step action for when you've chosen a target, that helps you redirect. So you basically just helps you navigate through the designer more easily. And, as I mentioned before in the AI section, there's now a dedicated generate steps with AI button. So this is just making it easier for you to identify when you'd be using manual flow to add steps in and when you'd be using Ask Me AI's help to, generate steps. So just easier for you to be able to find all of these things. There's a ton more. If you're curious about all the nitty gritty, we they're all captured in our there's a bunch of stuff captured in our April release and May release notes that are just about these changes. Otherwise, ideally, you'll just the next time you build a pipeline or manage one of your pipelines, you will discover these naturally and be delighted. They'll just make ideally make your experience smoother, more intuitive, and a little more fun. And then next, we're gonna speaking of experiencing enhancing your experience a little bit, we're gonna talk about some UI updates. These are some refreshes to some popular pages that many of you probably use every day and have don't take for granted now. I know I have definitely have in the past. So first off, you might not have noticed this yet. It's pretty subtle right now. There's been a fresh look for your My Apps page. We've done a few quick visual updates to the My Apps page right now. So it just looks a little bit, it's getting ready for the next step, which is currently in beta. And And this is probably the purpose in beta, I will admit, is far the more exciting part. We are updating the way my apps gives you gives you your apps to give you more control over the apps that you're seeing. The biggest thing is, today that the a lot of the logic for your my apps page is powered by what you have been accessing most recently. So the big thing is what did I most recently look at in in my apps? And that means over time, some of your apps will fall off. And so people might say, oh, it's a little frustrating. I don't use this app every day, but I need to be able to find it when I do. We're now instead saying that the apps and user are just there, and we're adding filters for you to allow you to show apps that you can add as an admin, that you have explicit access to, that you are actually the manager of, and that you have previously hidden. So there's just more options for you to go through and say, like, these are the kinds of apps I'm looking to see. We've also helped you so you can search apps by the app name or the app ID. I know the name more often than I know the ID of my app, but sometimes if you have the ID, that is the best way to make sure that if you have apps with really similar names, you're getting the right one. And then, it's just a little bit more down on the weeds, but for your super users, for those of you who have super user permissions in your account, you can control whether you see a list of apps that you access because of your super user state or not. That just helps you identify where you are seeing apps specifically because you're a super user. As I mentioned, that's all in beta. If you're excited to join, that, I recommend that you sign up in our beta app to let folks know you if you would like to get an opportunity to see the new My Apps page or that's coming soon. Similarly, coming soon, we're looking at some stuff to help you identify the created for your new apps so you can see new apps versus old apps and also, ways for you to use it in your new app property to hide the app or your my apps page for non admins. Just some new options to help you manage your applications. We tested a little bit, played around with a little bit. I definitely had a moment when we changed this new version where I was like, I forgot I have that app because I haven't used it in so long. So it is a nice eye opener to be able to discover work flows that you might have forgotten about or projects you're in the middle of. Otherwise, it's just a nice refresh. If you're as I mentioned before, just make sure if you're super interested in getting a a chance to to see it early, and if you wanna share your feedback as we're still on the works, redefining this page, join make sure to join the beta. And then another open beta, which is already open as of now, we have a we had a refresh of our account summary page. So, if you're an account admin, you've probably seen this page before. It is when you go to a manager account, this is kind of the default page that shows up that would tell you a little bit about your usage. This is getting a big visual, update for our admins. You get a lot more clarity and a bigger breakdown on your current plan and what it includes. You have, some of the insights that were previously pulled out into platform analytics are gonna be moving here to make it easier for you to see things at a glance, including your quick base team. Find your AE, your CSM, and other contacts right from this page. So this is we're basically rebuilding that page that you land on first as an admin. So it just has more of the information you're looking for. Less clicks, less digging deeper into the product in order to find things. Also, just like it, it's been a while. It's been time for it to get a refresh so that it kinda comes into the new Quickbase brand. It doesn't so this is one of this is and this is part of an ongoing project. You'll this is a really exciting opportunity for us to just think about, like, every page that you, regularly or touching, regularly or using. How can we make sure it matches the experience you want you to have in Quickbase? So, this is open beta. If you're an admin, you can see it now. Or, inside, I should say, it started rolling out to everybody. It will be done by June 1. If you don't see it today, it might just be that you need to wait a few more days for it to show up. But if you haven't seen it by June 1, let us know. Just we wanna make sure that we don't miss anybody. So if, if by June 1 you haven't seen this new experience as an admin, just reach out and let us know via a support case, and we'll be able to help you out. Alright. So moving on to formulas and function updates. This is for all of the formula fans, for all the function fans, for those people who really do a lot of, like, heavy lifting using Quickbase, engine. We've added a few new functions. Don't worry if you don't know what these things are. They might not be for everybody, but they're really helpful for those who need them. So first off, we've added a median function. We're giving you a little bit more flexibility in how you calculate. Most people are familiar with averages where you add everything together and you get the average in the middle. The median is more about finding the the middle of the range of numbers that you're looking at. So it can be different from your average. But what we've done here is we've added this as an option for you on summary reports, in your summary field or in your summary fields when you're actually having field summarize data up, and we've also made it available as a function in formula fields. And as as I mentioned before, when we're calculating on fewer than a thousand rep point rec data data points and exact algorithm is used, when it gets bigger than that estimation algorithm is used, that's really for those of you who are, like, deeply into the math of all the formulas or if you're doing this for really, like, specific calculations, this is just gonna be an option available to you now across a bunch of our fields and functions. It's something that didn't ask for for a while. So it's a really specific little formula, function, glider. Next, similarly, we have a new join formula. This is great for an opportunity to append multiple fields together with some kind of delimiter. Is it a whether it be a comma, a dash, an underscore. This just allows you to take multiple fields data and append them together with some consistent, delimiter between each of the things you're appending together. This can be helpful if your sys if your company still uses a very specific way of naming, either fields or plans or some kind of data that you're exporting out to another system, this could be just a way for you to quickly get that stuff pulled together. Like, here in my example, I just brought together a couple of of different fields to be able to easily put them in below. That's a great question, Laura. One of the big things is that, this also works with formula query, and just functions a little bit differently for how it joins. It use I found that it needs a little bit less massaging than what it does, when actually when you actually get under the hood for it. I I have only used it a couple of times myself so far. They are very similar. It's a great so they are very similar. I can probably ask around from the product team if there's more specific differences between join and list. Because I know I I I know there's some what two or three other little things that are more specific. I I know it's in our formula function guide now that it specifically explains the the details of it. And then lastly, formula queries now support some of our aggregate functions as well. So, now you can use functions like minimum, maximum, average, and median, which was just recently added, also in formula queries. So this means when you use formula queries to pull data from across your tables altogether into a formula field, you could just do a little bit more with your results in around all of these aggregate functions. Again, this is a number cruncher. Like, if you have a lot of heavy lifting to do with the number crunching, this is a these are great tools for you. And all of these functions can be found in our formula functions guide, available in our help. So if you have if you are learning about formulas, this is a great place that's a great place to go. And then lastly, we're gonna circle around to some quick hits for our admins. Similar to our UI as above, UI changes above both in pipelines and on some of our pages, these are things that are really meant to make it easier for you as day to day admins to get your work done, ideally with less things going on. First is for those of you who use connection connected tables, there is now a new option that will allow you the ability to trigger a manual refresh. So connected tables pull data over on a regular schedule just one way from another source into Quickbase. Typically, you either put them on a schedule or you make a manual sync. And and for manual syncs or even on the schedule, only admins can trigger the sync to say, hey. I would like to pull the data now rather than waiting for another time. This is it gives you a new choice that you can assign it to a specific non admin role, the ability to trigger your, connected table sync. This is just a great simplifier so that way you don't have to always worry that, like, you are the person that needs to refresh the sync when someone in another department or another role just needs this data. You can kinda give the keys over without giving them full admin access to the rest of the things in your account. This is just kind of teasing apart the permissions a little bit. So they'll just have the option available to do that, as long as they have the table access permissions. So they can view all the rectify records, modify all the records, add, delete, and refresh connected data. That is just making sure that they have all the right permissions for this, role. And then without the permissions, they'll just continue to see the same experience they have today. None of this will be changing for your average role that doesn't have any of these permissions enabled. Next, this is a simple one, but it's nice when you create lookup fields. In the past, you could only create three lookup fields at a time via relationship. You can now just create up to 10. This is just gonna simplify how fast it is to add your lookups, especially with you're building something new. Say you're grabbing a new relationship and you wanna bring over a whole, bunch of little things. You can just do it all at once. I have definitely lived the life of having to create my lookup field and then go again and again and again. So this is this is just a nice time saver. Do it once, all it done. And then, next would be role properties. So by default, some of you may have experienced in the past that your if you create a new table, it defaults to showing up to all the roles in your app. That might not fit with your expectation what you wanna have happen. So you have a, an a role that is a contractor or a customer, and you don't want them to default, get access to your new tables, because it's you have to go back and kind of do the job of going through every role and saying, like, they can't see this app, they can't access this app, or they can't see this table, they can access this table. Now inside of your properties for each role, you have an option to restrict access to the new table for this role by default. What that will do, it will will give them all of your access will be set to none, and the table will not show up in their sidebar in the app by default either. You're essentially going to say that for this role in the future as I'm changing things, don't just show them tables by default. This is really helpful if you wanna play in your apps and be an admin and build new things, but you don't want people to see it yet. You can just enable this. And rather than having to, like, go in and and then kind of follow along behind your work and do double check, you you just know that the new stuff won't just show up to folks while you're in the middle of doing testing new workflows, building out new parts of the application. Like I said, you just go into your role, into the permission into the, preferences yeah. The property section, and they'll be just below the description of the app. You can basically turn this on or off for each and it is role by role. So you can have some roles that get to see stuff. You can have some roles that don't. This is just to return a little bit more of that confidence that you won't have stuff show up you don't want to. You don't have to rush to, hide new tables from people. They'll just show up they'll they'll show up the way you expect them to. And then lastly, I if you joined me last time, I did talk about this, but I definitely wanted to circle back to it because it's something we wanna remind everybody of. We've had out of logs as an option in Quickbase for a long time. They give you a ton of information on how users are accessing your app, changing their data. Are they using reports, are they using various forms, things like that, that have been available for admins at the very top level. Your your account your realm admins could get these insights. We've now made it available to app admins. What this means is as an app admin, you can go into your account or you can go into your individual app and learn more about how people are using it and what is changing inside of your app. And so you're maybe thinking like, I've never looked at this. Where would I find it? If you're in an application that you're the admin for, you can go into your app settings, go to the advanced features, column at the very right, and click app management. And it's at the very bottom since it's a brand new option. You'll just go all the way to the bottom and find show audit logs. And what that will do is it will deliver to you your own audit log interface where you can see what's going on in this application in specific. This is great because you as an app admin have access and insights you never had before. Even if you're a realm admin and you already had access to app audit logs, it could also be nice because you can just go into an app and see only that app's audit logs. It does a ton of the filtering for you right out of the gate, so you can really simplify when you wanna zero in on the app that matters most to you. And, what we've also recently launched is, the option for folks to use data change logs to track field changes and then have the option available to re overwrite them and go back to previous versions. So you can restore a previous value to a field in these audit logs. In order to do that, you have to make sure that that particular application has, data changes tracked on that. I will let you know in the next slide how you as a realm admin would do that. But essentially, this is an option for those of you who want some more opportunities and abilities to overwrite data, say someone went in and accidentally up edited a couple of records and and changed company's address. You wanna go back to the previous, version of the of the, of this. Then you would say, like, ugh, I need to go find that data somewhere, make sure it's right. You can actually just hear line by line, field by field, pick up the data that you wanna overwrite. So if I wanted, for example, here to just overwrite the interval and the descriptions fields, the bottom two fields, I could do just that. And that would allow me a little bit more ability to to control my my application. And it's great is in the past, if you've been an admin builder, you know that typically when something's saved, you need to go to tech support and open a case and get an admin to approve for your account to in order to get lost data back or to get changed data back. This is helping you do that faster without ever having to create a support case and come to us. It's good choice giving you a lot more control. And you can, if you're asking, this is great. I don't have this now. How would I turn this on? So how do I turn on audit logs for an app or data change audit logs for a app? You wanna reach out to somebody who is a realm admin or account admin on your account to help you get started. They can basically go in and under the apps tab, they can select with the apps they would like to and then enable data change logs. That needs to be turned on in order for you to see these data changes and then be able to do the have the ability o to, write back data or revert back revert your changes. This is very nice for those of you who wanna make sure that, like, a couple simple mistakes in a in a mistakes when someone's entering records won't throw you for a loop. And that is, the end of our presentation today. If you are interested in being a beta participant in any of these betas or future betas, this, q this this QR code can take you there to our beta app. Otherwise, you can also find it I will grab a link for you since I realized I didn't link it already. You can find, more about our beta experiences here. Yes. So for, let's see. Now we can move on to the q and a section. So we're gonna take open up your two questions, and we're gonna start rolling through and see what hasn't been answered yet and, what can we what we can help with. If you anyone else wants to join me on screen, they're welcome to do so. Otherwise, we'll just go through some of the questions that we've had. So Kieran asked the question I think probably a lot of people have asked me over the last couple weeks, which is, for AI options, are they a paid upgrade? Are they on only specific plans? They are available on all of our plans today for the features that we've been talking about. They are all in beta. So, they're definitely available for you to use. The one caveat we always remind people of it stuff in beta is just be extra careful that you're making that that what you're seeing is what you expect to see. And, if you're having anything that's super business critical, ask yourself whether or not you wanna do it on a beta feature that might still be changing. So there's there's things that might be so important to your account you don't wanna rush to have, use beta feature for. That's just up to you to make the decision of, but, yeah, they are available today, on all plans for the stuff we've talked about today. And, also, similarly, Dwight asked the great question, which is, are only people who are able to, create applications able to use our AI spreadsheet import? Yes. You have to have create permissions in order to bring that stuff over. Similarly, Jennifer asked the question of, can we turn on AI for specific users? No. So as of today, it's global. You can either you can turn it off or on for your entire account. You cannot turn it off or on for an individual person. We definitely recommend though that you put that in our feedback platform if that's something that really would make a difference for you as that will that is something that we'll get back to our product team and that's something that they can bring into the way that what they're thinking about. Let's see. What else do we have here? Jessica asked the question of what are the anticipated date for this coming? I'm gonna assume that means the spreadsheet importances with a bunch of other spreadsheet import questions. As you already mentioned at the very end, that is coming fast. The beta is coming soon. We're expecting it in the next few weeks, to be live. So, you know, definitely keep your eye open. It is coming very quickly. That's part of why we wanted to talk about it today. We wanna get people excited that it's coming and being aware that it's something that's gonna be available to them so they don't miss it. Alright. Let's keep going. So I see there's some questions about, is there gonna be another session where we go over this? Is there resources for this? So just wanna remind everybody still on today that this is going to be available on demand after our wrap up. So you'll be able to watch it yourself. You'll be able to encourage other folks in your company to watch it. It'll be you can find it always at, all of our live upcoming events and our on demand events at clickbase.com/event. It'll have the live the upcoming stuff at the top, but if you roll further down, there's just gonna be a whole list of everything we have on demand. These feature focuses are a regular reoccurring thing that we do. You can even just search feature focus on that page and find a bunch of them for the last few months where we dive into, like, what's been live. So you can definitely make sure to share these with others and, like, kind of pass this information around. Alternatively, we will send an email to all of you to, the next couple of days that will be some of the resources from today. Ideally, it'll come to your inbox tomorrow. Someone asked in regards to Fast Field, isn't an add on to Quickbase or part of our Quickbase package? So Fast Field is a separate product to Quickbase, but we are, we're both they're both part of Quickbase itself. So you is a add on, but you can, negotiate Quickbase and Fast Field together. So, like, you would still work with your same AE if you were interested in adding Fastfield to your account. We are very happy to talk to you about it and make sure see what makes sense for you. If you would like to know more, there's also a trial option available. So if you wanna trial Fast Field, you can get a you can get your hands on it first and get a feel for it. In particular, I would recommend that if you trial it, you should totally try the AI, form builder. That is one of those things that's really like, it's it's fun to try, and it's available there. Let's see what else do we have here. Yes. So Bert asked, are there release notes that cover these enhancements? I see that someone sent o sends, Esther sent that over to you. Yes. So if you ever need them, in in every right hand corner, there's a sec under the docs section. I included the release notes. That is where you can find all of our past and future release notes as we continue to publish them. That is where you can see all of the information for, like, what have we changed recently? What are we going to change in the future? It is a great resource for busy admins when it's, like, it can be tough to keep up with everything to be able to breeze through those and find the stuff that's most interesting for you. Alright. Let me see. Is there anything else in the chat? I see it. Carlos asked the question of is there a specific time during the early morning hours when forms don't work properly. So there shouldn't be, but what can I would suggest if you're seeing irregular currents where you're having something, I would say I recommend you reach out to our tech support team? They can help you drill into if there's something going on for your experience. Maybe you have heavy activity during that time of the day, but they can help you learn a little bit more. Yeah. And recommend and Maria was saying in the chat, like, it could be that there's connected data tables that are refreshing at the same time or perhaps there's APIs or pipelines running that are pulling in a bunch of data at the same time every day. A support case can help you feel out, like, if there's something specific that's causing that pain for you. Alright. So let's see. Anybody else have any other questions? We've got a few more minutes. I'm happy to take them, or I can we can wrap up if no one has any other questions coming in. I'm not seeing anything new in our q and a section. So at this point, I'll let say, just as a reminder, everybody, thank you so much for joining us today. We appreciate you taking out the time to learn a little bit more about Quickbase. For those of you who are serious about learning more about the features that we're releasing, we have two webinars coming up in June that I think are really awesome opportunities. On the fifth, we're going to be covering solution APIs and the Quickbase language. I know we've been a lot of people really curious about our that functionality. We're doing a bit of a dive session into just that with the product with our product team. They'll be joining and helping us out as we do an intro to you and a little bit of talk through what our solutions APIs, how would you use them. And then also, we are going to be doing a, a webinar on the eighteenth, which is going to be another one of these future focuses. That is that is the next time we'll be coming back together to talk about stuff that is going live in June. So, June 5, June eighteenth will be our next events. We'd love if you can join us. You can find them all on our events page. Oh, and before I forget, I just got a good reminder. As a thank you for everybody who joins today, we are going to be doing a door prize raffle. Everyone's name is going to be entered in to our raffle, and you should keep an eye on your email because one of you will be getting a a a a prize for joining us today. It's available to everybody who joined in our webinar. So keep an eye out there because it might be you. You might be the lucky one. You might be the lucky winner. Again, we really appreciate taking the time to join us. If you have anything else, always feel free to reach out to us either via, their community or through our customer support portal if you ever have anything that you need. Thank you so much, and have a great rest of your day.
